I won't bore you with the details but imagine the stories of others...raped through the night by one or both parents, prostituted by mothers, stabbed, burned, and verbally abused day in and day out for years and years and years...no physical contact except in violence..no hugs, no emotions shared...raised in a pack of wolves...many, many little children are raised in such environments my dear and would give one of their arms, literally, to have a family like yours....I only offer this in hopes you will refrain from calling what is a poorly run family to a SEVERELY DYSFUNCTIONAL AND ABUSIVE upbringing...I met a guy once with scars all over his body...guess what? Mom liked to use him as her own personal ashtray and if he cried, she beat the shit out of him with anything she could grab...this wasn't an isolated incident, it was his 'normal' day in and day out....To this day he can't trust, he's suspicious of others, and he can barely sleep through the night without many meds and his waking hours are him as a bundle of raw nerves....when mom burns with her cigarettes, and grins while doing it, and you have to wear long sleeves in summer so no one will know...THEN you've got dysfunctional...
