		<description>The DA RFU XI of Davao City celebrated the Women's Month Celebration
  with the theme : CEDAW Ng Bayan: Yaman Ng Kababaihan last March 10-15, 2008 a week long celebration where Women Empowerment had been exercised in the economic empowerment under  agricultural sector. Th DA,s involvement that there are women in the agric-sector, who happen to be wives and daughters of farmers. Women plays significant role as part of agricultural labor, in growing/producing crops for food.  However of women in agriculture still do not enjoy equal access for opportunities on basic intervention for productivity &#38; growth. The DA's are doing, we have direct relationship with the global development agenda. Our local undertakings are tie up with global influence or impact and the global concern

The UN's Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which was agreed among nations in 2005 stipulates eight (8) goals to achieve until 2015. There are three (3) goals which DA has a stake as follows: 1. eradicate extreme poverty and hunger; 2. promote gender equality and empower women and 3. ensure environmental development.</description>
