Filipino women are stereotyped to be simple, obedient, caring, and God-fearing. That’s why it’s no big surprise when the keyword “Filipina” yields a bunch of dating websites catering specifically to men in search of Filipinas for love, friendship, and marriage. One could argue that there’s nothing wrong with using dating websites to find life partners with the qualities mentioned above. Most dating websites are legal, legitimate, and the participating Filipinas join the dating pool out of their own free will. That doesn’t discount the fact that these dating websites capitilize on the exoticized Filipina. Dating websites don’t spring out of the woodwork and match people around the world out of the goodness of their hearts. They’re a business selling products, and their products happen to be the Filipina. This essay shows how this system works by examining a dating website called Filipina Hearts.

    Interesting article.

I am not surprise about the issues mentioned in this article. More likely Filipina Hearts was formed to capitalize on the booming business of match-making, and geared towards the western market, especially with the hefty membership fee!

I highly doubt that their target market are Filipinos.

    Great observation…

Hey nice site guys. Anyways thought de suggest some dating times. 1. When on your first date always start as friends, that you want get hurt if things dont work. 2. Smile and be happy. 3. Listen. Girls like to share so be an open ear. 4. Have a good laugh so that the first date is remember.

I just wonder why people still want our women to be subversive, which is something that is been exploited by western men

With the help of my Fiance I am having a website which is in the makings http://www.FlilipinaProfiles.com, this site will be ran by me a Filipina and will employ 9 or 10 Filipina Women. Yes i want to make money but I want other Filipina Women and Foreigners to realize there is true love to be found through the internet like me and my Fiance. I will work to stop the scamming and do what i can to make it a respectable site. The site will go live on internet in August maybe July so look for it.

That’s why I went to DPP. They are fair to us (men and Filipina likewise). I won’t want to know the divorce-rate of such make-money-with-heart-fealings-dating-pages. I guess they are in real very weak? Just look at more pages likes asianfriendfinder, adultfriendfinder and so on and compare it with pages like dppphilippinen.de (okay, maybe you don’t understand the German language, so let translate it). DPP has no google-adsense and such profit-making services installed on their pages and these pages are driving by private individuals who are married to a Filipina themselve and not driven by a company like filipinahearts (please correct me).

Maybe you can give DPP a chance? Their divorce-rate is very low and since 9 long years they have encounted no divorce. :)

Sorry for my bad english. :/
